Day 2: Montreal - Quebec City

After breakfast, we will visit Saint‑Joseph’s Oratory, the largest Catholic church in North America, where you can overlook Montreal from an elevated vantage point. Next, proceed to the Montreal Biodme, reconstructed and opened on the site of the 1976 Olympic Games. It recreates five American ecosystems, namely the Tropical Rainforest, Polar Regions, Canadian Deciduous Forest, St. Lawrence River and Labrador Coast. Afterwards, visit the Montreal Botanical Garden, recognized as one of the world’s largest and most important botanical gardens. Spanning 75 hectares, it houses 22,000 plant species and cultivars, arbours and more than 20 themed gardens, making it an ideal spot to breathe fresh air and admire natural scenery. You will also have an exterior view of the Montreal Tower built for the 1976 Olympic Games. Standing approximately 165 metres tall with an inclination angle of 45 degrees (the Leaning Tower of Pisa tilts at merely 5 degrees), it is the world’s tallest leaning tower with the steepest tilt. We will then head to a “Sugar Shack”. Quebec is Canada’s major producing region for distinctive maple syrup. A sugar shack is where maple sap is harvested and maple‑sugar treats are made during the maple‑sugar season. Savour local farmhouse dishes prepared with maple syrup and experience Canada’s version of “agritourism”. (If the sugar shack is closed for the season, lunch will be arranged at an alternative venue.) Afterwards, travel to Quebec City, Canada’s oldest city. The Old Quebec brims with strong European charm and is dotted with historic sites: the only surviving ancient city wall in North America, the stately Chteau Frontenac, elegant old churches, popular horse‑drawn carriages replicating antique styles and street artists will tempt you to take photos to capture precious memories. Dinner will be served at a distinctive restaurant in Quebec City for a leisurely French‑style feast. In a warm and refined setting, sample dishes infused with local flavours and soak in the unique charm and laid‑back rhythm shaped by the blend of French and North‑American cultures. Return to the hotel for rest after dinner.

* For tour departures from September 25 to October 16 during the maple‑leaf season, the itinerary will be adjusted for maple‑leaf viewing at Mont‑Tremblant (itinerary as below):

After breakfast, depart for Mont‑Tremblant Resort, renowned as the “Banff of the East” and a world‑famous destination for maple‑leaf viewing. Nestled between mountains and water, Mont‑Tremblant Village features colourful buildings in various European styles, resembling an earthly paradise. Take a cable car to the summit of the highest peak in eastern Canada. Gazing out across the surroundings, the scenery around Lac Tremblant is breathtaking. In the afternoon, drive to Old Quebec. The only well‑preserved ancient city wall in North America, the magnificent Chteau Frontenac, graceful old churches, the imposing Quebec Parliament Building, well‑loved vintage‑style horse‑drawn carriages and street artists will inspire you to take plenty of photographs. The St. Lawrence River, the Old Town with European vibes and vividly‑hued maple leaves combine to form spectacular scenery. Enjoy a leisurely French‑style dinner at a characteristic restaurant in Old Quebec. Within warm and elegant surroundings, taste dishes incorporating local touches and experience the singular appeal and relaxed pace born from the fusion of French and North‑American cultures. Return to the hotel to rest after dinner.

  • Check‑in according to the selected package. Package A Standard Hotel: Comfort/Quality Hotel or similar (with breakfast or breakfast bag). Package B Upgrade Hotel within walking distance of Old Town: Palace Royal Hotel / Hotel Le Concorde Quebec or equivalent (no breakfast included).

Day 3: Quebec City‑ Thousand Islands‑ Toronto

Return to Toronto after breakfast. On the way back, visit Thousand Islands National Park, one of Canada’s three great natural wonders (*seasonal, approximately April‑October). Take a cruise to explore Heart Island, the shortest international bridge and renowned vacation villas on the St. Lawrence River at the Canada‑US border. After November, you will pass by the Thousand Islands on the return trip and may take a helicopter at your own expense (subject to weather conditions on the day). Experience the charm of the Thousand Islands, one of Canada’s three great natural wonders: overlook the scenic beauty of the Thousand Islands from high above. Thousands of islands are embedded like scattered gemstones, and the expansive, magnificent scenery will refresh your mind. Arrive back in Toronto around dusk.

  • Quality/Comfort Inn/Best Western or equivalent (with breakfast or breakfast bag). Upgrade available for Sheraton/Hilton or similar (with breakfast or breakfast bag). Features of upgraded hotels: well‑established and bustling Chinese‑speaking community with dining options within walking distance.

Day 4: Toronto‑Niagara Falls

Depart in the early morning for the world‑famous Niagara Falls. First, watch the IMAX historical film about the falls to learn about the magical, mysterious and myth‑laden Niagara Falls as well as many famous, breathtaking and stirring episodes in its history. Afterwards, head up to the Skylon Tower’s 360‑degree observation deck for a bird’s‑eye view of the falls’ enchanting scenery, including the magnificent American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. After lunch at your own expense, board the world‑famous Hornblower Niagara Cruises (*seasonal operation) for an up‑close view of the mighty cascades thundering down from great heights. The surging waters and thunderous roar are deafening and truly spectacular. Next, visit the renowned Niagara Falls wine‑growing region and enjoy a complimentary tasting of Canada’s signature icewine. Thanks to Niagara’s unique geographic location and climate, the frozen grapes harvested here produce exceptionally distinctive and mellow wine. The main varieties are icewhite wine and icered wine. Icewhite wine boasts a transparent golden hue and is known as “Liquid Gold”. It releases honey and fruity aromas and delivers a sweet, rich and refreshing taste. No extra sugar is added during vinification, making it a favourite green food among health‑conscious people. Free time after dinner. You may admire the spectacular night‑time view of the falls illuminated by colourful lights together with brilliant fireworks. Alternatively, visit the bustling Clifton Hill and ride the observation Ferris wheel to take in the stunning night scenery of the falls in the most spectacular fashion. Overnight at a falls‑area hotel (must be located within the Clifton Hill tourist district of Niagara Falls).

Afterwards, take a sightseeing cruise by Lake Ontario (seasonal itinerary). After lunch, enjoy a drive‑by viewing of the University of Toronto, Chinatown and the Provincial Parliament in downtown Toronto. The final stop is Casa Loma. This medieval‑style castle standing on a hill exudes an air of noble, primitive mystery. Its distinctive architectural style has drawn many Hollywood films for on‑location shooting. Once the most expensive private residence in Toronto, it bears witness to the city’s century‑long development. The mansion features a 5‑acre private garden filled with blooming flowers of various kinds, and it is now a top photography spot for Torontonians.
